Bunker Guitars Proudly Announces the Treker Branded Classic '57!

Treker is Bunker's brand that uses wood products for some of the instrument that is not actually harvested by and processed through the Bunker Mill and Kiln. In most cases this primarily applies to the body wood, however, it truly depends. Often Treker branded products are indeed made with wood direct from the Bunker Mill, it's just not a guarantee. All Treker models however do contain top quality tone wood and are of the finest quality.

Bunker is able to offer the American made Classic '57 at such an incredible price with your choice of custom options by keeping the colors and options streamlined and in house. The guitar bodies to all Treker models are constantly being produced in large batches.

We can of course configure and build your Classic '57 however you would like in our custom guitar shop, be it a custom piece of wood from our STS process, install a MIDI, custom graphics, etc. Many of these choices will however elevate your classic '57 to a genuine Bunker Branded Classic '57 as it would be build via the STS process.

However, we have tried to accommodate as many choices as possible without inflating our bottom end price. The Treker Classic '57 is the top guitar in its class and is superior to its competitors in nearly everyway. And as far as tone, sustain, and sound it truly is the best. The only strat type guitar better than a Treker Classic '57 is a Bunker Classic '57.

Configuring Your Classic '57

Step 1. Selecting the Top Route or the Back Route Version of the Classic '57 Guitar

The first step in configuring your Classic '57 is to decide between the more traditional top routed version with a pick-guard, or the high output 'rocker' top routed version.

The primary difference between the two is that the back routed version has high output pickups paired to a single volume and a single tone control. Also, the back routed version has a sculpted heel for better access to the lower frets for improved lead guitar playing.

The Top Routed Version has the more conventional setup with a volume and two tone controls paired to pickups that give a vintage tone with a, more traditional sound.

Step 2. Selecting The Tone Wood For Your Guitar Body

After you've selected your pickup route configuration, the next step is to pick whether you'd prefer a solid Alder body, or figured top on an Alder body. Our standard wood choices are:

• Alder with a Quilted Maple top

Inexperienced players often want a figured top simply for the aesthetic value. However, there are many reasons for which to choose wood choice. A solid Alder body is a very good all around choice. Add Flame Maple, or Quilted Maple top to your Alder body and you now have the good all around tone of alder with the bright tones, and even more sustain figured maple provides.

Step 3. Picking Your Color

From Here You Simply Pick a Color.

The menu will display all colors and finishes that we currently have in stock in that particular configuration. For example a back route configuration body, with a Flame Maple top will then display all available colors options currently in stock in your desired configuration.

Step 4. Hardware & Pick-guard

After you have chosen your color, you can then choose your desired hardware color and if desired choose a different pick-guard color. We can also do custom pick-guards with custom graphics, please call for more information. Hardware color is purely a personal choice of appearance rather than improvement in sound tone, etc.

Step 5. Configuring Your Custom Guitar Neck For Your Classic '57

After you have configured your body you can then configure your neck however you would like.

Most of the options are self explanatory, and have a brief description of benefits and/or advantages. However, there is one upgrade that deserves particular mention. The 7550 alloy bar is a must for those weight fanatics. This bar paired with the tension free neck creates a Classic '57 guitar that is incredibly light without sacrificing sustain, and tone! Besides the fantastic weight elimination, a 5 piece laminated neck is standard with every alloy bar purchase.

NECK

The first option you will have is your choice of neck wood, the part that you actually wrap your hands around. There are two standard options available (of course, anything you can conceive or imagine is possible. The downside is generally a delay in receiving your order usually associated with an increase in cost). The first being a standard Maple Neck, with the option of Flame Maple.

Nut selection is a very important when configuring the perfect guitar to play. We take painstaking measures to set your guitar up to your secifications. Selecting the proper nut for your style of playing helps insure that your guitar plays how you want.

NECK FINISH

The choice of neck finish can be a very important factor in the overall tone of your guitar neck. Thin finishes allow the sound to resonate better than traditional thick glossy finishes. That's not to say that glossy finishes are bad, it just depends on what you would like to achieve with sound and sustain.

TENSION FREE ADJUSTMENT BAR

The tension free neck bar is the technology that removes the pressure of the strings from off the wood of the neck and allows it to resonate freely. The bar is incredibly strong and also acts as a source of resonance within the neck. The bar itself works with the neck very well and is not noticeable from any other guitar you've ever played (with the exception of better tone and better sustain of course). There is one option here that you may be interested in if you would like to reduce the weight of your guitar, the 7550 aluminum alloy bar reduces the weight of the guitar 11.5 oz. This is similar to the weight reduced with a chambered body instrument (depending on wood type, route, etc.). However, the beauty of this weight reduction is absolutely zero loss of sustain and tone! Thus, it becomes a very appealing option.

Magnum Bridge

The Bunker Magnum Bridge is the product of many years of real world research and testing on the part of Dave Bunker of Bunker Guitars. The Magnum Bridge is machined, not cast, from solid musical bell brass. This bridge is designed to be direct mounted to the guitar top. The bell brass used in these bridges is the same quality and type as that used in orchestra instruments.

The Magnums Bridge magnifies the natural tones of the guitar. It also allows them to resonate and sustain much longer than any other fixed bridge.

Bunker 25 1/2" Replacement Guitar Neck

For Fender Stratocaster and similar type instruments

Guitar Neck Model: Sustainium Tension Free (STF) 25 ½" scale.

Sustainium necks are 25 ½ inch scale, 22 frets, with 10-16 inch compound fretboard radius.

They come standard with hardrock maple neck and fretboard. It features the Standard 3/8 cold rolled steel bar, traditional standard wood to wood neck to peg head joint. 10 degree peghead tiltback on peghead. Graphite nut, Tuner holes are 6 inline and are drilled for Ghotto, Sperzel, Schaller tuners. Peghead shape standard shape is the same as the Treker Classic 57. neck comes with fretboard surface with satin finish, the rest of the neck is unfinished. Comes standard with neck adjustment thru the top of the fretboard.

This is a direct replacement for Fender stratocasters and copies, All it requires to install is to drill the neck mount holes is the neck. ( even in fender models these can vary in location, so they must be done by the person installing the neck) comes standard with frets pressed in evenly and ready for finish fretwork and detail.
