Here at Bunker we actually harvest our very own tone woods. We call this process our stump to stage process. Using the latest in environmentally friendly methods we scour the forests of the pacific northwest to harvest the finest tone woods there are for use in our instruments

Rather than cut down an entire forest we uses decades of experience and work in conjunction with the forest service to select the trees that have promise of figure and good tone, and carefully harvest them for use in your instrument.

The tone wood we harvest is the highest quality available. In fact, we actually sell our tone wood to other guitar companies. One in particular produces guitars that list in the 8-10 thousand dollar range (which is ridiculous unless you plan to have your entire guitar gold plated. Our finest custom guitars are far less, yet far superior). For sake of business we do not post their name online.
